I went in and got a quote on some work and was told that the part was gonna be over 900 dollars BUT when I contacted Toyota for the part I was told that they were previously contacted by the shop and the part was about 375 to a wholesale party like an automotive repair shop or about 500 dollars to a private party like myself! So I'm trying to figure out where the 200 to 300 percent mark up on the part comes from. That's just absolutely ripping people off. When I called the person could not even come close to explaining this to me. I FEEL REALLY SORRY FOR THE LITTLE OLD LADY IN FRONT OF ME THAT HAD WORK DONE BECAUSE SHE PROBABILITY PAID 2 TO 3 TIMES WHAT SHE SHOULD OF PAID FOR THE REPAIR!!! Still waiting for the owner to contact me and explain to me this nonsense
